Rph2.jpgJust download, print, cut out and assemble this robot-on-a-rampage for hours of attacking and mauling with your new friend (of the somewhat gentle sort, seeing as he’s made out of paper).

The Splatterbot has a waist that twists, the arms can move up and down, and the claws can be swapped out so the ‘bot can hold different weapons. Pop off the head and you can see the eyeball-creature sitting at the control panel of our friend the robot. What a fun way to spend a Sunday!

IDE Eyeglass Case

What more appropriate way to store and protect your geek glasses than with a case made from computer cable?

Standard gray IDE cable, normally used for connecting hard drives to the motherboard, has been sewn at the seams to create a nerdy case for glasses. And it even comes in a static bag!

More duct tape wallets (or wallet-like things)

Posted by Liz | Fractalspin News & Stuff | Sunday 22 October 2006 3:14 pm

If you’re a credit card junkie and have lots more than traditional wallets allow you to have (say, 8 or 9), then the Duct Tape Credit Card Wallet is for you. While most wallets assume you’ve only got 3 cards plus an ID (or, in the case of the super-wallet gadget, the Silver Wallet that allows 6), this one has slots for 9 cards, plus cash.

The smallest and most compact of the duct tape wallets is the Money Clip. Instead of an interior pocket that would just add bulk, the Duct Tape Money Clip has a metal clip at the spine to hold cash and reciepts. But it’d not limited to holding only cash–with two cardslots and a clear ID window, you can carry 2 cards plus an ID, or you can stack up to two non-magnetized cards (like a loyalty card and a library card, for example) behind each credit card.

Goa Wave Binary Watches

Here’s three cool geek watches that make you look exceedingly clever as you hand out the time. Just add up the numbers by the dots lit up in the first row to get the hours, then do the same with the bottom row to get the minutes. They’re available in either a stainless-steel or black face with leather band, or as a black face with a stainless steel band.

DIY dot matrix wrist cuffs

Use dot matrix fonts and make a DIY-slogan wrist cuff just by popping out perforated dots on this cool leather cuff. Choose from black or pink, and then get writin’!

Pick any of the geek phrases supplied on the downloadable templates [Template 1] [Template 2], or you can use the font patterns included with each bracelet to write anything you desire.

Cutting out the dots is easy–just grab an X-Acto knife, utility knife, or scalpel and cut through the two tabs on each side of the dot you want gone. They’re kind of impossible to replace once you’ve cut them out, so the package has a set of blank grids where you can practice before your bracelet goes under the knife.

Varistor Jewelry

Yes, they may appear to be cute little kitty-heads, but these electronic components are powerful guardians against damaging voltage spikes in important circuits. Derived from the term “variable resistors,” varistors serve as mini surge protectors, preventing angry mobs of damaging electons from melting unsuspecting printed circuit boards (PCBs). A small ochre-colored varistor–with its leads curled up gracefully to create a connecting point to the delicate chain–serves as a subtle pendant on the Varistor Necklace, and two matching, smaller varistors pair up on the Varistor Earrings. Not only are they both subtle ways of suggesting your ubergeek-potential, they’re gold-colored accessories that coordinate with a ton of outfits.
