When Radio Shack is closed, you'll feel confident that you can handle any venue's crazy sound system setup with this thorough set of audio adapters chosen specifically for the needs of the electronic musician. From the ubiquitous 1/8" to RCA adapter common to almost every laptop set (laptop headphones out to club mixer in) to the less-common-but-still-essential XLR adapters (for dealing with stage breakout boxes), you can feel confident that your sound will reach the people, no matter what the promoter or sound guy has overlooked.
They're packaged in a high-visibility red nylon bag with a sweet logo that totally looks like a first aid kid, but sexier. It's about the size of a headphones bag (6" x 8"). A card detailing the contents and an LED light (oh what a great idea!) are attached to the drawstring. There's also enough extra room in the bag to accommodate any additional adapters you collect along the way.

Alright--I caved and bought one. I saw you dump out the contents when we played together. I had to have one when fail was averted. *bows down*

DJ-ing an informal set this weekend at a Lakes of Fire (a festival in the woods of western Michigan) and our main sound system, the one that we had planned and brought all the requisite gear for, up and dies in the middle of a set.
So Pat pulls out the backup system he had packed, a small set of powered Roland monitors, but... Oh, snap: we need a male-1/4"-to-female-mini adapter. Keep in mind we're in the middle of the woods, in rural Michigan, 27 miles from the nearest Radio Shack...oh, and it's one o'clock in the morning.
Luckily both Pat and I had brought out Electronic Musician's Emergency Adapters kit. The right adapter was in there, the backup system was running within minutes, and the night was a rousing success.
I never go to a gig without the kit; this is just the latest instance why.
